To commemorate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China, the Lahore Arts Council (LAC) arranged an art exhibition at Alhamra Arts Gallery in Lahore.
The exhibition featuring 25 artworks by the students of Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts was inaugurated by Khayal Ahmed Kastro, the Punjab’s Minister for Culture. Also present were on the occasion were Ms. Muneeza Hashmi, Chairperson of LAC board of Governors, Farhat Jabeen, Executive Director LAC and Mr. Du Yue from Chinese Consulate General.
A cake-cutting ceremony was also held at the occasion to celebrate 70 years of successful friendship between Pakistan and China.
Pakistan and China enjoy close and friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in May 1951. Pakistan was one of the first countries that recognized the People’s Republic of China. Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an “all weather strategic cooperative partnership”. Pakistan considers China as one of its closest friend and partner and China considers Pakistan as its “Iron Brother”.
