The annual International Culture Day of the Pakistan Embassy College (PECB) was held in Beijing, 5th June. This year event was dedicated to the celebrations of the 70-year of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.
Diplomats, officials, media representatives and students along with their families participated in this cultural gala. An overall 27 countries had set up their cultural stalls to exhibit their cultural handcrafts, products and national cuisine. There were also history, science and geography exhibits along with fun areas and gaming zone for children. Cultural performances of various countries were greatly enjoyed by the guests.
In his address at the event, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Moin ul Haque appreciated the school management and the students for successful organization of the event which had become PECB’s signature and popular event for the diplomatic and international community in China. He said that students are the future leaders of a nation and advised them to work with determination and honesty.
Pakistan and China enjoy close and friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in May 1951. Pakistan was one of the first countries that recognized the People’s Republic of China. Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an “all weather strategic cooperative partnership”. Pakistan considers China as one of its closest friend and partner and China considers Pakistan as its “Iron Brother”.
