The Inauguration Ceremony of CCTE Model Modern Sino-Pak Diploma Joint Technical Education Programme was held yesterday in Lahore. From Pakistan, Chairman Technical and Vocational Education Authority (TEVTA), Vice Chancellor of University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Principal of Government Technical College, Lahore attended the event. From China, the leadership of Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology, Guangdong Provincial College, Gansu’s Bailie Vocational College and Tang International Education Group participated in the event online.
During the event, educational institutions of two brotherly countries formally launched the CCTE Model Sino-Pakistan Dual Degree Education Programme in the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Government Technical College, Lahore. The Vice Chancellor, Principal and leaders of Chinese technical and vocational institutions vowed to further enhance cooperation and collaboration in the field of technical education.
This was one of the events to commemorate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China.
Pakistan and China enjoy close and friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in May 1951. Pakistan was one of the first countries that recognized the People’s Republic of China. Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an “all weather strategic cooperative partnership”. Pakistan considers China as one of its closest friend and partner and China considers Pakistan as its “Iron Brother”.
