As part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, an MoU was signed between Wuhan University of Technology and Pakistan University of Engineering and Emerging Technologies, Islamabad on 03 November 2021 in Wuhan.
From Pakistani side, on behalf of the Pakistan University of Engineering and Emerging Technologies, Islamabad, Ambassador of Pakistan to China Moin ul Haque and from Chinese side Prof. Dr. Xin Sijin , Chairman of the University Council, Wuhan University of Technology signed the MoU. The purpose of the MoU was to provide an opportunity to both sides to exchange information on mutual academic goals in teaching, research and on areas of common interests.
Pakistan and China enjoy close and friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in May 1951. Pakistan was one of the first countries that recognized the People’s Republic of China. Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an “all weather strategic cooperative partnership”. Pakistan considers China as one of its closest friend and partner and China considers Pakistan as its “Iron Brother”.
