Activity No. 105 : CPEC & ‘Belt & Road Initiative’ Agricultural Cooperation and Exchange Seminar was held in Shanghai

In connection with celebration of 70th anniversary of diplomatic relationship between Pakistan and China, the Mission, in coordination with M/o National Food Security & Research Pakistan, Agriculture Trade Promotion Center of the M/o Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and Shanghai Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Commission, organized the ‘CPEC & BRI Agricultural Cooperation and Exchange Seminar’ on 29 October 2021 in Shanghai. The Seminar was held both online and offline. The representative of enterprises, academicians, agriculture experts and senoir government official from the two sides attended the Seminar.

In his welcome speech, Consul General highlighted the importance of agricultural cooperation between the two countries in general and particularly within the framework of CPEC and BRI. The agriculture has been made one of the priority sectors in the second phase of CPEC. The signing of CFFTA-II has injected vitality to bilateral cooperation in agriculture trade.

The seminar provided an opportunity to further enhance cooperation in agriculture sector between the two countries.
