Activity No. 65 : Webinar Held by All Pakistan China Friendship Association to Commemorate 70th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations

On 14 July 2021, the All Pakistan-China Friendship Association (APCFA) organised a webinar to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

The event was addressed by the distinguished diplomats of the two countries and representatives of leading think tanks including Ambassador Naghmana Hashmi; Mr. Ikhlaque Usmani, President of ACPFA; Madam Lin Yi, Vice-President of Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Madam Zhang Qian, the Executive Vice-President of Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Mr. Zhang Heqing, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy and Mr. Bilal Akram Shah, Counsellor of the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing.

During the webinar, the participants paid rich tribute to the all-weather friendship between Pakistan and China and its role for regional peace and stability. They were of the view that fraternal ties between the two countries stemmed from the convergence of political interests, commonality of views on major world issues and sentiments of mutual respect and bilateral understanding between the two countries.

Expressing satisfaction at the steady growth of bilateral ties, the participants said that tremendous enthusiasm shown by the government and peoples of two countries to celebrate 70th anniversary of bilateral relations has reinvigorated the fraternal sentiments between the two nations.
