At the auspicious occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China, the Embassy of Pakistan released a special short-documentary today on seven decades of Pakistan-China friendship. The documentary highlights the achievements made by the two countries in last seven decades, captures the historic milestones of bilateral ties and pays tribute to the architects of Pakistan-China friendship.
The documentary is divided into seven sections displaying rare and historic pictures of last seven decades. It particularly captures various joint projects of defence cooperation including JF-17 Thunder aircraft, Al-Khalid tank and F22P Zulfiqar class frigate. A special section has been dedicated to CPEC showing completed projects of transport infrastructure, mass transit network, power production, Gwadar port and Free Trade Zone.
Pakistan and China enjoy close and friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in May 1951. Pakistan was one of the first countries that recognized the People’s Republic of China. Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an “all weather strategic cooperative partnership”. Pakistan considers China as one of its closest friend and partner and China considers Pakistan as its “Iron Brother”.
