Activity No.17: The Ambassador participates in the Award Ceremony of Henan-Balochistan Drawing Contest for Middle School Students and Signing Ceremony of Sister School Relationship

Ambassador Moin ul Haque participated in the online Award Ceremony of Henan-Balochistan Drawing Contest for Middle School Students and Signing Ceremony of Sister-School Relationship between Middle School of Henan Normal University and China-Pakistan Gwadar Faqeer Middle School today. The Ambassador appreciated 20,000 students of Balochistan and Henan provinces who participated in the event and congratulated the winners of the competition. 


Activity No.16: Launching of Iqbal’s Book in Chinese Language

On 30 April 2021, a ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan to launch a booklet containing select verses of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in Chinese language. The event was attended by Chinese academicians of Urdu literature, students of Urdu Language Department of Beijing Foreign Studies University and Mission’s officers. The launching of booklet is a part of festivities to commemorate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.


Activity No.13: ‘Garlands of Love’ Launched at the Embassy of Pakistan

On 12 April 2021, a ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan to launch the book ‘Garlands of Love’, authored by Mr. Lu Shulin, China’s veteran diplomat and former Ambassador to Pakistan. The event was attended by the high ranking Chinese officials, Mission’s officers and representatives of media.


Activity No.12: First Pakistan-China Super League Cricket Tournament Held in Chengdu, Sichuan to Commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Pakistan-China Diplomatic Relations

In order to celebrate 70th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations, a cricket tournament was held on Wednesday, 7 April 2021 at Sichuan University’s stadium, Chengdu. The event was jointly organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Chengdu, Sichuan University and Pakistan Study Center at Sichuan University, Chengdu. It was attended by Mr Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood, Pakistan’s Acting Consul General, the Vice President of Sichuan University, Director Pakistan Study Center, Sichuan University and other Chinese dignitaries.


Activity No.11: Pakistan Participates in China Fashion Week

On 26 and 28 March 2021, leading Pakistani fashion designers virtually participated in the 23rd edition of China Fashion Week as the official partner. Pakistani designers were especially invited to the fashion week to commemorate 70th anniversary of establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic ties which is being celebrated this year.


Activity No.9: Opening of HBL Branch in Beijing

On 22 March 2021, Habib Bank Limited Pakistan, one of the largest Pakistani banks, opened its branch in Beijing in a befitting manner. The launch ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials from the Beijing government and corporate executives from China and Pakistan. The event coincided with the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China and marked one of many activities to commemorate this milestone year.


Activity No.8: Pakistan and China Jointly Celebrate their Civilization and Cultural Heritage through Puppetry and Related Arts

On 21 March 2021, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and China Puppet Art Theater co-hosted a Celebration of Pakistan-China Civilization and Cultural Heritage through Puppetry and Related Arts, in collaboration with Rafi Peer Theater Workshop. The cultural festivities were held at the Grand Theater of China Puppet Art Theatre. The event, which coincided with the World Puppetry Day, was one of the key highlights of a year-long celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The event was attended by a large gathering of high-ranking officials from the government departments, members of the diplomatic corps, academia, think tanks, cultural organizations, Pakistani community and Pakistani and Chinese school children.


Activity No.6: Pakistan and China Commence 70th Anniversary Celebrations

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in an impressive ceremony on 02 March 2021, formally commenced activities to celebrate 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the People’s Republic of China. The virtual ceremony was simultaneously held in Islamabad and Beijing and was attended by high-ranking officials from both sides.


Activity No.5: Exhibition of Historic Photographs Organised by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 2 March 2021, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs organised an exhibition displaying photographs of important historic moments of Pakistan-China friendship. The exhibition held in Diaoyutai State Guest House of Beijing to commemorate 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations was viewed by H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, the State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China and H.E. Mr. Moin ul Haque, the Ambassador of Pakistan. High ranking officials from both sides were also present.


Activity No.1: Pakistan-China Centre Inaugurated In Jiaozhou, Qingdao

On January 18. 2021, Ambassador of Pakistan, Moin ul Haque and Mr. Liu Jianjun, the Party Secretary of Jaiozhou District, Qingdao and Director General of Shanghai Cooperation Organization Demonstration Area (SCODA) jointly inaugurated Pakistan-China Centre in Jiaozhou District, Qingdao today. The Centre is aimed at deepening Pakistan’s linkages with the SCO member states especially China in diverse fields of cooperation.

Pakistan was one of the first countries that recognized the People’s Republic of China. Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an “all weather strategic cooperative partnership”.
